You can’t change the people around you

Undoubtedly the most important advice I’ve ever received was The Minimalists’ “You can’t change the people around you, but you can change the people around you.”

Not only is it beautifully articulated and contains a subtle yet brilliant juxtaposition, but also it sums up what we all go through over and over throughout our finite lives.

We always forget that we’ll soon let go without our will and letting go willingly is a blessing in disguise.

You can always try to change the people around you, but if it doesn’t work; then change the people around you.
