The not-life

For an introverted guy like me news that Facebook have integrated VR with it’s platform should be thrilling (albeit I don’t have a FB account). It means that I don’t have to actually meet people more, have more alone time due to eliminating time of transportation, finding a place to meet, etc…

However, this is scary. This is probably the world George Lucas imagined. A world full of virtual reality that we would forget about this life totally. We will get immersed in the virtual one because it’s customizable, it’s configured per our wants; but that is not a life.

We’re already disconnected thanks to ‘social’ media. I just can’t see the benefit from this.

Customizable, 100% enjoyable, and perfect are antonyms to life!
